Ace House Artist In Residence Program
The Ace House Artist-In-Residence Program serves as a platform for fostering open-ended artistic research and interdisciplinary knowledge exchange.
The residency is designed to support artists in developing critical perspectives on their practices while facilitating connections with local artists, curators, researchers, academics, and other art practitioners, as well as diverse communities across Yogyakarta.
During the residency, the artist-in-residence is provided with a dedicated workspace, either in the form of a studio or a working desk. The Ace House team functions as a critical discussion partner throughout the program, offering regular weekly meetings to engage with the artist’s interests, inquiries, and experiences.
Over the course of the residency, the artist is encouraged to initiate and contribute to a series of public events aimed at sharing ideas and supporting their artistic research. The residency concludes with a final presentation, which may take the form of an open studio, exhibition, performance, lecture, workshop, or any format that best reflects the artist’s work and practice.
